Vetafarm Probotic

Probotic aids in establishing gastrointestinal flora in hand-reared baby birds, day-old chicks, puppies, kittens, and other physiologically immature animals. It can also be used during periods of intestinal dysfunction and post-antibiotic therapy to re-establish gut microflora.

Directions for Use:

For Caged Birds:

• 1g per litre of drinking water.

For Poultry Chicks:

• 5g per liter for the first 3 days of life, decreasing to 0.5g per liter at 42 days.

Restraints:

• Probotic should not be used in conjunction with antibiotics, but may be used immediately following antibiotics.

• Use stress levels for the first 5 days, then switch to maintenance dose.
  In stress situations, the maintenance dose may be doubled for as long as required.

Mixing Instructions:

• Mix Probotic with water.
• Prepared solutions should be consumed within 24 hours.

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C (preferably in air conditioning).
• Keep container tightly closed.

Expiry:

• 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Active Constituents:

• 180 Million CFU/g as:
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus
  • L. delbrueckii subspecies bulgaricus
  • L. plantarum
  • L. rhamnosus
  • Bifidobacterium bifidum
  • Enterococcus faecium
  • Streptococcus salivarius subspecies thermophilus

This variety of probiotic strains supports healthy gut microflora in vulnerable or recovering animals.
